Passion is all we need

Oh man Taiwan is cold but still manageable for me. I duno why, I thought I cant handle it cox I had been overwhelmed by Singapore's humid weather.

I guess its the training of overcoming the air-con in our school let me get more used to this weather now.

W should be very clear of what I am saying. haha:)



Today we had dumpling soup as breakfast and man, the dumplings are "gigantic"!! ;D

I took a photo of it and you should really compare it with those in sg. haha~


I talked to the owner which is one of my dad's friends about art as he used to teach sketching for 7-8years!

How amazing is that?:)



He was commenting about my sketches I did over the past few days and he said the only things I'm lacking in my sketches are the distance problems and also the hatching lines of pencil sketching.


I was doing really basic sketching so I did not add those things in. Guess I really long time never practice my skills. Well it should not be an excuse:)


In terms of proportions and others he said I did a pretty good job.

yay~ at least still 30% of my sketching skills is with me?:D


We talked a lot but the only thing which he kept emphasizing to me was to have passion in art.


熱血. The warm blood(direct translation).


He even introduce me to one of his junior to ask me to reference to his style.

Sadly speaking, his junior no longer draw now and guess what he's doing for job? selling army stuff! Guns and all.



So both of them sort of "gave up" their interests in art and pick up something that might not be what they intend to do when they're younger.


I can see some sort of passion left in his eyes when we discuss the sketches I did.
Also the kind of looking forward that one day I can become someone great in this area.


Frankly speaking, I am not that great to carry the dreams they used to dream about and think that I'm continuing my dream on behalf of them.



To me, the only thing that kept me going is really my own passion. No one else.




I guess it's the same for all of us.

Passion is all we need.


To persist on going.

I've been slacking off in posting some comments here but that indicate that I'm not that bored to be stuck with the laptop all day long.




Well I am feeling much back home like obviously. Eating foods that I love and traveling around taking awesome photos!:D

Due to some prob my camera had to be formatted and that costs about few hundred photos being lost.

Lesson learn: always have your copy. DON'T BE LAZY!!:D

I'm gonna set off to hunt for food now and shall leave much of my comments when I go Sg.





I always blog when I got nothing better to do except using the internet.


There's always so much to see and feel rather than sit and rot.

School's been great and actually there's nothing much to consult so basically I spend most of my time chatting with Si-Y and W to find out more about their life and stuff.

Si-Y's a pretty cool lecturer and we can actually learn new things from each other:)

As for today, spend most of my time to do the final touches and tada~

It's done.


If I see something nicer then I'll replace. If not it's just the way it is.

I'm pretty satisfied with the result and be amazed by myself again for such an efficient schedule.


4 days doing 8 complex drawings? That's a no way a few years back. Where I used to take a few days for one drawing.

Well I guess somehow lowering one's standard affects too.


However it does not mean lowering the quality and that's what's most amazing and I'm proud of.


:)


Tomorrow is relaxing day so will do some window shopping + photo shoots( if I feel like to) around the island.

So don't try to find me 8D

Well I guess either of it seems to have more options to play with than blogger.



Hmmm.



Actually I could not really see the features for livejournal and tumblr though is not as popular as some other networks, seem to be more appealing at this stage.


So i shall move my new blog to tumblr.

Alright settled. It only took me 10sec to think. lol.

Over the 'holiday' I've been busy managing my DA and also doing my school work on packaging. It's a little bit hectic but still manageable in the end. O'well thank goodness it turns out fine:)

Or something of that sort,lol. At least it does not turn out to be a gray monster.

Finally I printed my final for first assignment and felt really relief. :)

I had been holding onto it for too long i guess.

It's really like how Si-Y says, we should play more and experience our life to the fullest.

Looking back the past 19years I had been dedicating myself in the area of academics and seldom did I focus on areas outside the region.

It's a good chance for me now as I still got much to learn.


I love the doggies at the print shop!:D the auntie was nice enough to let me play with her dog:D

Love~<3 it was yawning but ran towards me as I squad down to welcome it :)



Shall start on packaging and I cant wait to draw again!:3
