Holiday live diary

First of all, I just got featured! Yabee:) It's just a few seconds:D
I came in awkwardly from 2.50 <3

Sketch Walk @ Marina Bay Boulevard - Urban Sketchers Singapore from Wan Zhong Wei on Vimeo.

It was a super nice experience to sketch at the river side though the sun was pretty friendly that day.

Had an awesome day with J and A as we enjoyed a wonderful meal at Ding Tai Fung at Marina Bay Link mall. First time been there! Afterwards we went for Starbucks at Raffles place. (Y) One of the best days in my holiday so far:D

Blooper of the day: see how strong the wind was when the video was filmed?

The filming person was literally filming at my face and my work, so awkward.. I finally understand why M said to us last time about asking permission. Lols

So here's my work, still coloring..

and I am currently under the recovery stage of being fair again.
Why?
Because of some crazy 3hr cycling from ECP to Changi Airport under the scorching sun and I am completely without any sunblock or whatsoever cox I hate the stickiness.

The result?

I swear I must be totally insane back then.

Anw, some random fun facts about my living environment. I actually have noisy neighbor! They are cute though, they wake you up early in the morning and they shout whenever they want some treat..
Tadah!

Cute yea?

Another random thing I did on April Fool Day.

Kind of the most funny thing I had ever did in my life. Now I know who are the stalkers. (Y)

Before I end off this completely random post about things I can remembered doing after my IP:

Just a recent photo I took after a enjoyable night at Fullerton Hotel :)

Night people!;) Blog post soon, I hope.

Coincidence

Okay so the sad thing is that there's no part two for the Updates post previously, cox obviously I forgot what I want to say as I am that busy. In mind. So if anyone interested, I don't mind to have a little chat with a cup hot coffee that helps me to recall them 8D

So, the first photo was what happened last Saturday, a dramatic one.

My slipper betrayed me, for which it broke, halfway when I'm rushing to meet the urban sketchers for the sketchwalk held at Chinatown.

A hopeless person standing in the middle of Bugis street staring blankly at the slippers for about 5 seconds before asking for help from the shops nearby.

All I get was " Places selling slippers? I think they are not open yet!" "Places selling slippers? Oh sorry I don't know where."

End up I had to called A out to rescue me with the slippers. Lucky me.

While waiting I did a few sketches at Bugis and gathered a large crowd.

0-0 The response from the crowd turns out to be so good that some even ask me to do design works for them. O'well, that's a good opportunity I guess:)

Nonetheless, thanked all for the support, I was just thinking of sketching quietly at a corner..

Had lunch afterwards and happened that J was nearby printing things so get to meet up for awhile.

Weird coincidence that brings the 3 of us together for a non-official sketchwalk gathering.

:)

I shall lie flat now to replenish and have more energy for my 2 module's brainstorming later in the week.

A great holiday with so much thinking process. Hmm...

Anw, Happy CNY to all!:) Hope you guys enjoys it!;)

Nights~

Updates1

I started to realize its a habit that I don't do blogging. Once I started blogging, it means either something damn good happened, or something the opposite.

Now here's an mixed emotions about this post so I shall tackle it one by one.

Starting from the good stuff, since it happened first.

School have been super busy after the 2 weeks break and it explains why there's not a single post after last year 3rd of Dec. What an excuse, I know.

Besides schoolworks, what I consider a major/big/enormous/drastic change from last year is that: I started to take up projects.

I know its nothing much as compare to people who have been doing it all these years but, it's a major kick for this lazy bug.

That I started to take on projects not just once in awhile, but almost schedule them in a very hectic timetable.

The first job taken up was to help design a movie poster, for Iceberg design. Pair work with A. We visited their studio last wednesday and was so much amazed by the lovely working area they have.

What a paradise.

We had so much fun seeing people editing films and changing color settings. Such a great experience to see what goes behind the scene.

Then all the bla bla bla client vs designers details shall be ignored, since it's a case sensitive stuff and I'm too lazy to explain.

All in all, we both agree that this trip down to some ulu place was indeed rewarding and fruitful.

Then on Friday night we had so much carbohydrates

This was just part of it.

O'well, I took like some 6 hours to type this part 1 post because the internet was down for 6 hours. Literally. What an efficient working system.

Shall type the rest another time. :)

What have you learnt

It's been ages since I last posted anything up here, or on tumblr, or on wordpress, or on livejournal. In fact, I think I have totally neglected my blogs and was so deeply "in love" with social networking, for it's speed and everything.

I can post a photo/ image easily just by one click, I can comment or be commented by others in a second's speed. I can type out my feelings in one sentence instead of a few paragraphs which most don't bother to read.

But have I reflected enough on myself? Or is it just a instant short sharing? I'm not too sure of it. So I guess before I figure this out, I should do both at the same time.

Life's never been the same when we go into our majors. Things started piling in on the first day of school. We were overwhelmed by works. Be it from school or outside ones.

It was a shock at first, knowing that we can no longer take our own sweet time to find the right pace to get into the mood of school. Then we succumb to reality. We work our hearts out for good works, which in turns, good results.

At first some wonder, why the load of works? When we have to stay up late at night almost daily, trying to complete something that's never ending. But then again, it's all an opportunity to learn. Just that there's obstacles along the way that stop us from trying new things.

One thing I found out that I improved from last year before the major is that I started to enjoy more and more of the works given, enduring the hardships and then, embrace criticisms and finding ways to improve on my skills.

There's things that changed and there's things that doesn't. I shall not specify the things, but deep in myself I know.

There's new friends I met, awesome works I seen, funny jokes I heard. Each day there's brand new things I can learn. I'm really glad.

I shall continue my lovely life in another post soon :)

Cheers.

Some recent works showcase:)

Cat City - a robotic theme

Self project - dancing queen

and the most recent one that's presented today:

Dream - surreal theme:)

can be viewed both ways:)

I shall continue another post soon :)

Au Revoir Taiwan

I feel I haven't been blogging for a million years.

The holiday's ending in one day time and we'll all be getting back to the fast paced working life.

The web&design class and packaging class ended rather well because I managed to finish some 10 pages web with 2 mock ups and many side research and development

in the end the result was quite satisfying and lynette kind of like the packaging and the choice of paper:))

So I went back to Taiwan for a really good break and everything is awesome, except the weather now is freaking hot.

There's only 2 things that din't go so well when I was there:

1) I had abdomen infection which causes diarrhea and stomach pain which I almost feel like dying

2) Now I'm back in Sg with a twisted back and I can't bend, sit, move properly. I really understand how J felt that time now.

I feel like fainting. -.-

Nonetheless it's a really pleasant trip and I'm looking forward to the future holiday! 8D

Let's work hard and smart again~:D

PS. I bought quite a lot of shoes this time, so happy that finally I got new shoes~ B-)

Ciao for now~

Our hotel when we're in Southern part of Taiwan:)

I wish

I wish I can turn back the time and fly to you.

Sometimes I thought I forgotten, or I thought I can forget and carry on with life.

Then just all of a sudden you appeared and disrupted the peace I've been trying to establish for so many years.

I still can't get over you. After all.

Spinning

In days like this I'll have a cup of coffee and jot down my memories.

Sometimes it's really a saying of the plans always can't catch up with the change. Okay that's a direct translation but I don't have so much of my lovely time to find out the exact sentence so just bare with it.

School works is piling in and I'm progressing slow. Sometimes you just have to think nothing but finish it.

Life. Move on. Not stuck in the mood.

I shall endure more works so au revoir~:)
